Meet the Founder

Shenita Johnson is a seasoned attorney and consultant with a wealth of experience in the education sector.  Shenita specializes in crafting collaborative solutions and offering strategic support to executive leaders and organizations within the education and nonprofit sectors. 

As an experienced litigator and collaborative mediator, Shenita passionately represents the best interests of children in administrative and legal matters.  She began her  legal  career as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney litigating domestic relations and parental support cases.   She is appointed to the Cook County Panel of approved Guardian ad Litem and Child Representative attorneys. 

Shenita holds a B.A. in Journalism from Howard University, a M.A. in Public Administration from Baruch College in New York, a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and an M.B.A from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. She is an alumna of the Surge Institute Fellowship Program and NACSA Leaders Program. 

Shenita is married to Anthony Hardy and has one son, Jeremiah, a rising 8th grade CPS student.  

Shenita previously served as board secretary for BES (Build. Excel. Sustain), a national school leadership organization.  She currently serves as secretary for the Reavis Local School Council and is member of the Field Museum Women’s Board.  Shenita is a solo Girl-Trekker and enjoys bike rides along Lake Michigan. She serves in the New Life Next Gen Children’s ministry and volunteers as the education coordinator for the Bronzeville Fencing Academy.
